Want to be a Trauma Healing Basics beta tester?
The team at the Trauma Healing Institute is developing a set of simple, practical tools that anyone can use to learn about and respond to trauma, by bringing together mental-health best practices with the wisdom of the Bible. We call these resources Trauma Healing Basics.
In order to create tools that are as helpful and easy-to-use as possible, we’re looking for volunteers to help us beta-test these new resources by putting them to use in the real world.
To become a pilot tester, you need to have:
personal commitment to mental health for everyone,
openness to using the Bible as a way to help people heal,
interest in trying out brand-new healing resources, and
willingness to share your ideas to make them even better!
Sounds interesting! How does it work?
The process is easy: About once a month, we’ll email you about a new resource. If you agree to test it, you’ll receive a link to the resource. Download it, try it out, and then answer a quick, simple questionnaire to share your feedback with us after a few days.
Who can be a Trauma Healing Basics beta tester?
We believe that people from all walks of life could benefit from resources like these, so we’re looking for as diverse a group of testers as we can find. We’re looking for anyone who wants to help others heal from the pain of trauma — teachers, ministry leaders, counselors, community organizers, people in health and social service professions, and more. Our current beta-test program is focused on the U.S., so we’re only recruiting U.S.-based beta testers at this time.
What kind of resources are we talking about?
Trauma Healing Basics can take all kinds of physical and digital forms — and we’re experimenting with new ones all the time! Since every resource we develop is “basic” by design, the content is fairly brief and straightforward no matter the form. You won’t need any training or special knowledge to use it, and it won’t take tons of time, either (think: social media campaigns, digital booklets, and explainer videos).
